At Riders by Lee, we are committed to our planet, our people, and our product. Within our walls, and with our long-term suppliers, our business is built on trust and shared values - with human rights, ethical practices, health and safety, transparency and environmental goals vital to our culture.
We strive to develop and improve sustainable design and production processes and we believe in creative change, minimising our impact on the environment and maximising positive impact on our people, customers, and the wider industry. Our initiatives empower the do-ers, makers, builders and creaters who work with passion for purpose over profit, to build a better world.
Across APAC, we’re working hard to minimise our fresh water use, with approximately 60% of our factories investing heavily in water recylcing plants that have significantly reduced the amount used in production. Working to stringent Global Wastewater Discharge Standards (in line with Business for Social Responsibility’s Wastewater Discharge Standards), all and any water used by our manufacturing partners is also properly treated before being returned to the surrounding ecosystem and community.
With reduced carbon emissions, through increased use of sustainable solar and wind energy, many of our denim suppliers have upgraded their tumble dryers to reduce power consumption by at least 30%, and have implemented an alternate air drying process.
